Project Overview
Rexall is Canada’s second largest pharmacy chain and uses Northern as their Digital Agency of Record (AOR). As a result, my experience working with Rexall over the last five years has allowed me to touch on everything from helping design their main site, Rexall.ca, to planning and executing national digital campaigns, revamp their emails, and—most recently—help build marketing collateral for their new points system, Be Well.
Rexall.ca
Rexall’s main website, Rexall.ca, has seen a gradual but large user experience improvement over the last 5 years. Some notable achievements involve porting legacy page structures and code to make the entire website responsive (several thousand pages), revamping the main navigation, secondary and tertiary content page templates, and bringing accessibility standards (AODA) to the website.
Rexall.ca Newsletter
The Rexall.ca Newsletter was revamped in early 2020 to refresh their aesthetic and promote more engagement in their subscriber list. This was achieved through introducing more engaging content: leveraging lifestyle imagery, mockups, and tuning the language to be more conversational. A full guide to building and formatting emails was supplied to the client in a deck-style presentation, full of examples, guidelines, and best practices.
Be Well™
Be Well is Rexall’s newest point-based system to replace their old program with Air Miles®. Be Well offers a mobile app on the iOS and Android App Stores, and allows users to load weekly curated offers to collect points and save money through loyalty shopping.
The Product: A web app, welcome/onboarding email series, and loyalty offer banners on a weekly cadence across multiple digital channels.
