Project Overview

Each year, I have the pleasure to work on Northern’s Year In Review: a collection of our proudest accomplishments for that year, cemented in a beautifully printed book. The piece is a massive undertaking that involves planning and coordination from all departments in the company, and has become one of my favourite projects to work on each year.

The final product is a 50-page magazine printed on a velvety 32lb premium stock with a 60lb semi-gloss cover. Additional digital marketing material was created in order to promote the publishing of the document like a small email series, social media posts, and a landing page.

Email Design

An email to promote the 2020 Year In Review was built using Mailchimp and best practices: embedded text within graphics was kept to a minimum—and was large enough to be seen on mobile devices when unavoiable—and was tested on various devices and email clients to ensure the best possible experience and maximum deliverability.
